Pity I’m not who she thinks I am, he thought. It would be nice to be the subject of her attentions. But, as usual when it came to women, he was the wrong person at the wrong time. “I’m sorry,” he said, “I think you’re mistaken. My name’s Candon.” She rewarded him with a quick smile. “I know. It is also set in the far future, which is also more common for me.             He never expected to end up as he became in his second, and far more pleasant life. He had never expected to wake up at all. He had been walking along the street on his way back to work from lunch one afternoon. It had been sunny and bright, quite pleasant, and he had been thinking about nothing in particular. For once in his life, he was even in something like a good mood.
